This past week, we celebrated our five year anniversary in Savannah, Georgia. I absolutely love visiting this place. The beautiful architecture and history behind many of these homes just makes the little history nerd within me giddy!
We stayed at a rental next to Forsyth Park which was perfect. The owner provided bike cruisers that we used to get around during our stay. Seriously, best idea ever. We didn't have to worry about parking and was able to get around town without killing our feet and back!
As per the usual, we indulged in good food and sweets during our stay. Some locations were per the rental owner's recommendation and other locations I found using these two websites: Gun and Garden and 36 Hours in Savannah. A friend of mine, who plans the best vacations for her and her sweet husband, recommended these sites. Very pleased!
Since this was the second time we've been to Savannah, we didn't do too much activities. We did do an architecture tour, in which the tour guide walked around with us and told us about some history of the places. We also toured the Owens-Thomas home which we didn't get to visit during our last trip.
I scheduled a photo session with a local photographer, Mackensey Alexander, to have pictures taken in honor of our five year anniversary. We just received the sneak peaks and I am in love! So happy that I decided to do it.
Now we are back home and already planning our next vacation for the summer!
