The Paper Seahorse

This week I attended my first hand lettering class at The Paper Seahorse, a local paperie and makerie shop in South Tampa. It was the sweetest little shop filled with all sorts of stationary, pens, books and even vintage type writers.

The class was an intro to hand lettering. A three hour session with five other ladies. There were light refreshments provided... aka finger foods and wine. Hello ladies night.

During the class, we learned how to draw ten different font styles. We ran over a bit and I wasn't able to complete my outlining there, but finished it the next day at home. Seriously, I had the best time ever. I will be signing up for more classes. Some on my list to do are: Hand Lettering Intermediate and Hand Lettering with Watercolor.

Weekend | February 20 & 21

Happy Monday! Over the weekend, we indulged in good food and sweets, for sure! My father is here visiting and we have been taking him around town.

On Saturday, we checked out the Ybor Chocolate Festival. There were various vendors and food trucks that have some type of chocolate twist in their product. One of my fave food trucks, Twisted Iron, was there and I had their version of Chicken and Waffles with chocolate. The chicken was coated in some type of chocolate  batter. It was quite amazing.

On Sunday, after church, we drove over to Tarpon Springs sponge docks for lunch. If you are ever in the mood for Greek food, this is the place to go! We ate at Hellas and had dessert as well. Seriously, their bakery is a piece of heaven! After we ate, we walked around and looked at local vendors and boats.

Valentine's Day 2016

Happy belated Valentine's Day to you friends! Hope you enjoyed your day whether you celebrate the holiday or not. I, of course, am a HUGE fan of Valentine's Day. Seriously, any reason to celebrate something and get all cheesy is enough for me. So happy I married a man who gets into this stuff like me!

Well, now that we are official Disney Passholders, we decided to celebrate Valentine's Day at Disney's Epcot.

We started off the day with Valentine's Day donuts, duh! I live for donuts.

After breakfast, we headed to Epcot. We had lunch reservations at Chefs de France, so did some walking around before our time to dine. The weather was on the cooler side but not too bad when in the sun. I prefer it to be cooler than hot when at the park and doing all that walking.

Here are some fun details of the day including my outfit and accessories :)
